Gas prices in India drop by Rs 320, simultaneously surge in Nepal

AGENCY: The Government of India has reduced the price of cooking gas (LPG) cylinders by 200 baht per cylinder.

Anurag Thakur, Minister of Information and Broadcasting, stated at a news conference on Thursday that the decision was made during the Cabinet meeting on Wednesday in light of the Raksha Bandhan festival.

A 14.2 kg cooking gas cylinder will now be available in Delhi for INR 903 (about US$11).

This decision is said to benefit more than 33 crore household cooking gas consumers.
