HAMS hospital to provide free healthcare at TIA

KATHMANDU: The Tribhuvan International Airport Civil Aviation Office and HAMS Hospital have signed an agreement to provide free health services at the airport.
An agreement has been reached regarding the establishment and operation of a high-level clinic to provide emergency health services to passengers and employees at all times throughout airport operations.
RS Bhandari, President of HAMS Hospital, said that a doctor and a nurse will be on-call 24 hours a day, seven days a week in the emergency clinic.
According to Bhandari, this service will be provided as part of the hospital’s social obligation.
Bhandari stated that if extra care is required after the emergency service at the airport, a free ambulance service will be provided to HAMS Hospital. The agreement states that an ambulance from HAMS Hospital will be accessible at the airport 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
According to this agreement, the Civil Aviation Office will give HAMS Hospital with the necessary space to operate the clinic at the airport for free.
The agreement states that the AED service will be more handy for passengers and employees in the event of a sudden heart attack as part of the hospital’s emergency services for flight passengers and airport employees. This agreement is for three years.
The Tribhuvan International Airport office has stated that in the event of a plane disaster, additional services such as immediate rescue and health camps will be offered to passengers and personnel.
The agreement letter was signed by HAMS Hospital senior director Sachi Regmi and Narayani Devi Shrestha, head of the corporate division, on behalf of the airport.
