Playing India and Pakistan is a joy for us: Cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane

KATHMANDU: Sandeep Lamichhane, a cricketer, has departed for Pakistan to compete in the Asia Cup. He departed for Pakistan via Tribhuvan International Airport on Monday morning.
Tanklal Ghising, Member Secretary of the National Sports Council (NSC), reached at the airport to bid him farewell.
During a press conference, he stated that the faith of all Nepalis in the Asia Cup is on cricketer Lamichhane. He stated that with Sandeep’s involvement, the squad has become significantly stronger. He stated his belief that Sandeep will fulfill the faith of the entire country.
He said, ‘Nepali cricket team is playing with Pakistan and India. The country is taking Sandeep’s presence there as important. That is why he could not go with the team due to some technical issues. The way the entire country has trusted Sandeep today, that trust will be fulfilled by Sandeep. With the entry of Sandeep, the team has got completeness.
Speaking to the media before flying to Pakistan, cricketer Lamichhane said that the team is in good shape and ready to play against Pakistan and India. He promised to win the hearts of Nepalese by playing well in the Asia Cup. He said that playing cricket with Pakistan and India is a happy festival.

Cricketer Lamichhane said that he has to work hard to create an environment to play against Pakistan and India in the future as well. Nepal is competing against Pakistan on Aug 30 and India on Sept 4 in the Asia Cup.
