Sandeep Lamichhane has travelled to Pakistan to compete in the Asia Cup of Cricket.
The case’s next hearing was set for Bhadra 21 (Sept 27) on Sunday. Sandeep left for Pakistan early on Monday.
Sandeep was seen off at the Tribhuvan International Airport by Tanklal Ghising of the National Sports Council.
Prior to departing for Pakistan, Sandeep stated that the team is performing well at the moment and that the squad performed well in practice matches in Pakistan, expressing confidence that they will perform well at the Asia Cup.
In the Asia Cup, Nepal is playing against Pakistan on Wednesday, Bhadra 13 (Aug 30), in the opening match.
Similarly, the second match against India is set on Bhadra 18 (Sept 4) in Sri Lanka.
Sandeep will now be eligible to play both matches against Pakistan and India in the Asia Cup before taking part in the next tournament.
