SUNSARI: As of the potential incident, the local authority has reinforced security in Dharan.
The District Administration Office has issued a restriction order in Dharan, effective at 12 a.m. on Friday, claiming that religious activists’ demonstrations may disrupt social tranquillity.
While Dharan is tranquil due to the restriction order, Dharan’s access point at Tarahara has been tightened. A considerable number of security guards have been deployed.

Hindus are demonstrating in Itahari.
In Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City, the district administration office Sunsari issued a prohibition order and took out a rally from Itahari towards Tarhara.
Hindus are protesting with shouts such as “The cow is our mother, the mother cannot be slaughtered,” “Establish the Hindu nation,” “Take action against cow killers,” and “The Nepal government is dead.”
According to the Superintendent of Police (SP) of Sunsari, Prabhu Dhakal, the situation in Dharan is normal, and Hindus are protesting in Itahari following the prohibition order in Dharan.
