Malaysia beat Nepal by six wickets

KATHMANDU: Nepal was defeated by Malaysia by 6 wickets in the T20 series.
Malaysia won with a medium winning target of 85 runs, losing four wickets in 16.2 overs. Ainna Hamizah Hashim led Malaysia to victory with 37 runs off 39 balls and three fours.
Malaysia was dismissed for 8 runs by opener Wan Julia Wan Mohammad Rashid and 2 runs by number three batsman and captain Mas Elysa.
However, Hashim and Mahirah Izzati Ismail exchanged 43 runs for the third wicket and laid the groundwork for victory.
Mahira scored 21 runs off 24 balls, including one boundary. Puja Mahato, Rubina Chhetri, and Sita Rana Magar of Nepal each took one wicket.
Prior to it, Nepal scored 83 runs in the stipulated 18 overs after losing the toss and being invited to bat first.
The total was insufficient to overcome the batting of Malaysia. The game was hampered by rain, and it was limited to two overs. Nepal had set a target of 85 runs based on the Duckworth-Lewis technique.
Despite the setback, Nepal finished first in net run rate and advanced to the finals, whereas Malaysia was forced to withdraw despite their victory.
