People’s problems on CNP buffer zone will be resolved: PM Dahal
"Forest Act is under amendment for resolving problems," he said during a delegation representing the people from the CNP buffer zone of Chitwan and Makwanpur today.

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said the government would address the problems facing people in the buffer zone of Chitwan National Park (CNP).
“Forest Act is under amendment for resolving problems,” he said during a delegation representing the people from the CNP buffer zone of Chitwan and Makwanpur today.
The delegation met PM Dahal at his residence, Baluwatar this morning. Also present in the delegation were Nepali Congress General Secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa and Nepali Congress Bagmati State Chair Indra Bahadur Baniya.
The wild animals coming out of CNP were hassling and terrorizing people; people in the buffer zone were facing hindrances on utilizing river products; and even the survey of the land was problematic. It was what the delegation reminded PM Dahal.
“Problems faced by the people in the CNP buffer zone will be resolved. I will hold a meeting with the Chief Secretary, the Secretary at the Ministry of Forest, Environment and other related secretaries. I believe the discussion will help resolve the problems,” Dahal reiterated.
