Heavy rains in five states today (three-day forecast)

KATHMANDU: Currently, there is a partial influence of the low-pressure area in and around the North mid-state of India in Nepal.

At present, light to moderate rains with thundershowers are occurring in some places of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini regions.

There will be a general change across the country in the afternoon. There is a chance of light to moderate rain with lightning in Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim States, as well as a few areas in the remaining provinces.

There is a chance of heavy rain with lightning in Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim, as well as very heavy rain in one or two spots.

According to the Weather Forecast Division, heavy rain with lightning is expected in several areas of Koshi, Madhesh, and Gandaki States tonight.
