Man held for raping a 20-year-old girl

KATHMANDU: Police arrested 43-year-old Mohan Bahadur Rai, resident of Morang Kanepokhari Rural Municipality-3, who was living in a rented room in Yalambar Chowk, Damak Municipality-5, on the charge of raping a 20-year-old girl.

On the basis of a complaint that Rai raped the woman and took her to a hotel located in Damak Municipality-8 on the afternoon of Shrawan 18 (Aug 3), the police stationed at Topagachi police station arrested him.

The police are conducting necessary investigations in this regard.
