Two people, including a doctor, detain on the charge of missing a baby from the hospital
The police is going to start an investigation against them for the crime of missing a person after extending the deadline from the court.
BIRATNAGAR: A guy has been arrested on suspicion of stealing a newborn infant from a hospital.
Tapeshwarlal Karna, an obstetrician at Greencross Hospital in Biratnagar, and Govinda Rai, 27, of Hatuwagadhi Rural Municipality-4 in Bhojpur, were detained. Dr. Karan was also the former Medical Superintendent of Koshi Hospital.
Retired from government service Dr. Karan works at Greencross Hospital, while Dipesh owns a medical practice.
According to the police, Gobind Rai, who was arrested, took the girl to the hospital, then took the mother to the hotel after discharge, claiming that the child was still in the hospital, and then fled after leaving the hotel, claiming that he would bring the child.
The police arrested him on Friday based on the complaint filed by the mother of the newborn child.
