KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has called the top leaders for discussion.

He called the leaders of nationally recognized parties to discuss the obstruction of parliament.

According to Prime Minister’s Press Adviser Govind Acharya, the discussion will be held at 12:30 PM at the Prime Minister’s Office at Singha Durbar.

In the last election, CPN-UML, Nepali Congress, CPN-Maoist Centre, Rastriya Swatantra Party, Rastriya Swatantra Party, Janata Samajwadi Party and Janamat Party cleared the threshold and became nationally recognized parties. The Prime Minister is going to discuss with the top leaders of these parties as an initiative to open the obstruction of the Parliament.

Since Shrawan 10 (July 26), the main opposition party, the CPN-UML, has been obstructing Parliament by demanding the formation of a high-level investigating committee into the gold smuggling case.

As  the Prime Minister will meet with the leadership at 12:30 PM, it appears that the Parliament meeting scheduled for 1:00 PM will be impacted.
