Rai & Karki grabs the title of ‘Mero Voice Universe’ & ‘Mero Dance Universe’
Rai won the singing competition while Karki won the dancing competition at Godawari in Lalitpur on Saturday.
KATHMANDU: Pritam Rai (India) won the title of ‘Mero Voice Universe’ and Khushi Karki (Thailand) won the title of ‘Mero Dance Universe’.
Rai won the singing competition while Karki won the dancing competition at Godawari in Lalitpur on Saturday. This is Nepal’s highest monetary prize to date.
Similarly, the first runner-up in ‘Mero Voice Universe’ was Shishir Thatal (India), while the first runner-up in ‘Mero Dance Universe’ was Devi Garbuja (Belgium).
They were selected from the last five contestants in the final competition (Grand Finale) held on Saturday. ‘Mero Voice Universe’ second runner-up is Sharad Humgai (Nepal), the third runner-up is Paresh Rai (Nepal) and the fourth runner-up is Sairaj Khati (India).
Similarly, Migma Di Lepcha (India) is the second runner-up of ‘Mero Dance Universe’, Swastik Aryal (Nepal) is the third runner-up and Nation Susling Magar (Nepal) is the fourth runner-up.
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Speaker Dev Raj Ghimire presented the prizes to the winning artists.
Shishir Thatal and Pritam Rai from Sikkim, Sairaj Khati from Darjeeling and Paresh Rai from Sankhuwasabha and Sharad Humagai from Kavre were in the last five for the singing competition ‘Mero Voice Universe’.
Similarly, for the dance competition ‘Mero Dance Universe’, Mingma Di Lepcha (Sikkim), Khushi Karki (Thailand), Devi Garvuja Magar (Belgium) and Nepal’s Nation Susling Magar Mahottari and Gorkha’s Swastik Aryal were in the last five.
The winners of both competitions held by the Intra Nepal Welfare and Support Foundation of America got a total of one crore, 30 lakh for the first runner-up, 20 lakh for the second runner-up, 10 lakh for the third runner-up, and 5 lakh for the fourth runner-up.
Nepal Police (Nepal) won the group dance competition.
The organization has garnered 2 million prizes.
