Gold scandal: Indian Aadhaar card & Nepali citizenship found with Chinese nationals
According to Deputy Inspector General of Police Kuber Kadayat, two of the arrested people were found to be in possession of Indian Aadhaar cards.

KATHMANDU: An Indian Aadhaar card was also discovered with the Chinese nationals.
Indian Aadhaar card and Nepali citizenship were found with them who were arrested for smuggling around 61 kg of gold which was brought from Hong Kong by putting it in the brake shoe of a motorcycle.
According to Deputy Inspector General of Police Kuber Kadayat, two of the arrested people were found to be in possession of Indian Aadhaar cards.
According to him, citizenship certificates issued by the district administration office Kavrepalanchok were discovered with three Chinese and citizenship certificates issued by the district administration office Kathmandu with one person.
So far, 23 people including them have been arrested in the gold smuggling case and are being investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CIB).
The Revenue Investigation Department recovered a 155 kg brake shoe containing gold that was ready to be carried through the customs at Tribhuvan International Airport on Shrawan 3 (July 19), exactly one month ago.
Following a two-week investigation, the department turned over the case to the police CIB for further investigation.
