KATHMANDU: Uddhav Thapa, Chief Minister of Koshi, will take the vote of confidence on Bhadra 3 (Aug 20).

The notice regarding taking the vote of confidence was registered in the state assembly on Friday.

There is a legal need that the notification of the vote of confidence be registered two days in advance.

Thapa was named Chief Minister on behalf of the coalition party on Shrawan 16 (Aug 1).

For the first time, when the government was constituted with the Speaker’s signature, the Supreme Court overturned his appointment.

Thapa was elected Chief Minister with the support of the Congress-Maoist, the CPN-S, and the JSP

He now has 47 votes in his support.
