Clash between mayor and his helper, stiches in Rajesh’s head

KATHMANDU: In Doti, a disagreement between the mayor and his personal aide (helper) took place.

There was a dispute between Shikhar Municipality mayor Dirgha Balayar and private secretary Rajesh Thagunna.

Rajesh claims the mayor attacked him with a machete. The mayor, though, has stated that the allegation is false.

According to the police, a fight broke out between them on Thursday night at 11:30 p.m. in Bandunisain, Ward No. 11 of Shikhar Municipality.

According to the police, Rajesh got into an argument with the mayor while consuming alcohol, and the mayor hit him on the head with a stone during the argument.

They argued over organizing a vehicle to transport a sick individual from the village to the hospital, according to District Police Office Doti chief and SP Rajendra Dhamala.

Rajesh, who was hurt in the clash, received stitches to his head and is now recovering at home, according to the police.

When Mayor Balayer was attacked, he threw stones, according to police.

Rajesh, who worked in Mayor Balayer’s secretariat, was his confidante.

The incident is being investigated further, according to the authorities.
