England took the lead in the game in the 36th minute with a goal by Ella Toone.
Forward Sam Kerr scored a goal for the home team in the 63rd minute of the second half to draw the game.
Then, taking advantage of Australia’s poor defence, England scored two more goals.
Lauren Hemp put England ahead in the 71st minute with a pass that the defence couldn’t clear. Alessia Russo added another goal four minutes before the game’s end to send England to the finals.
England will now fight for the Women’s World Cup title against Spain.
