Oli calls on President Paudel, advised to end House obstruction

KATHMANDU: Major opposition CPN (UML) Chairperson KP Sharma Oli today called on President Ram Chandra Poudel at the Office of the President, Shital Niwas, today.
During the meeting, the two exchanged views on contemporary domestic political affairs and the ongoing deadlock in the parliament, according to President’s press advisor Kiran Pokhrel.
On the occasion, the Head-of-the-State was concerned about the potential consequences of a prolonged House stalemate and encouraged the major opposition leader to work towards resolving the situation.
As the President said, the prolonged impasse in the House could lead to frustration among the people, eroding their trust in the parliamentary system.
The President also advised political parties to promote mutual cooperation and cooperation in the parliament and build an atmosphere of trust among them.
