Al-Ettifaq stuns Al-Nassr, Ronaldo-featured team, in shocking upset

KATHMANDU: Al-Nassr began the new season with a loss in the Saudi Pro League. In last night’s match, Al-Ettifaq defeated Al-Nassr 2-1.

Al-Ettifaq, led by Stephen Gerrard, won the game after rallying from a 1-0 deficit. Ettifaq won thanks to goals from Robin Quaison and Moussa Dembele.

Earlier in the game, Sadio Mane scored in the fourth minute to give Al-Nasr an early lead. Maneko Al-Nasr scored his first goal. Al-Nassr rested several key players, including Cristiano Ronaldo and Fofana, for this match.

Al-Nassr’s next match will be on August 18 against Al-Taawoun.
