Bharatpur fixed dengue test fee
Metropolitan Mayor Renu Dahal stated that the fee was set to provide uniformity in pricing and to make it easier for citizens to get healthcare services.
KATHMANDU: Bharatpur Metropolitan Municipality established the cost after health organizations within the municipality began demanding arbitrary fees for dengue testing. The dengue test costs a maximum of Rs 600.
Metropolitan Mayor Renu Dahal stated that the fee was set to provide uniformity in pricing and to make it easier for citizens to get healthcare services. She also requested that all metropolitan health facilities provide timely reports.
Dengue testing are provided at no cost in the district’s state-level health establishments. Bharatpur Hospital used to charge Rs 800, but it will now only charge Rs 600.
Dengue fever has recently become more prevalent in the district.
Since Shrawan, the infection has been confirmed in 52 people in the district.
