In Pics: clash between police & locals of Kapan

KATHMANDU: There has been a clash between the police of Kathmandu Metropolitan City and the locals of Kapan.

Local clashed with police after a dozer from the KMC reached in Kapan with the intention of removing dwellings built through encroachments onto riverbanks.

The metropolitan team stated that the dwellings erected by invading on the river with no setback near the Saat Tale Chowk on the border of Kathmandu Metropolitan Municipality-10 and Budhanilkantha Municipality 7 were constructed without any setbacks.

They did, however, object, claiming that the city had frightened the villagers during the monsoon season using a dozer.
