Nepalese girl being transported to Mumbai rescued

KATHMANDU: A Nepalese girl who was being transported to Mumbai has been rescued.
The girl, a citizen of Dailekh district, was rescued from a police station in New Delhi by Child Line, Delhi Police, and ‘Kin India’.
According to Laxmi Bista, a Kin India consultant, the girl was abducted without alerting her parents, tempting her with a nice career and even a role in a movie.
She stated that the girl was on her way to Mumbai and had no idea where she was going.
Indraraj Bhattarai, the chair of Kin India Nepal, stated that the girl is currently being submitted to ‘CWC’ in cooperation with the Nepali Embassy in New Delhi and is being held in a safe house for counselling before being sent home after the legal process is completed.
She has also requested women and children not to believe when they are called by any social network and not to travel to any place without informing family members.
