GIBL brings new scheme on QR code

KATHMANDU: Global IME Bank Limited (GIBL) announced the facility of payment confirmation by QR code via voice message via a smart audio device.

The bank has launched a solution that includes a sound box and an LED display for payment confirmation via QR code.

When Global IME Bank customers scan the QR code and pay, the sound box on the LED board will play a voice message confirming the payment.

This will make the entire process convenient for customers and traders.

This would also spare merchants/traders and customers from having to wait for the received SMS on their mobile phones.

It also decreases the payment application’s reliance on the merchant for confirmation. The bank has benefited its consumers by providing such timely programmes in consideration of their convenience.

Global IME Bank is the country’s first private commercial bank, with branches in all 77 districts.

The bank is providing services to more than 4 million customers from more than 1,100 service centers including 359 branch offices, 367 ATMs, 322 branchless banking services, 64 extension and revenue collection counters and 3 foreign representative offices.
