Man arrested on charge of wife’s murder

KATHMANDU: Police arrested 50-year-old Purna Bahadur Tamang of Panchthar Hillihang Rural Municipality-7, Tamphuwa living in a rented room in Suryodaya Municipality-2, Sayapatri Tole, on the charge of killing his wife, 45-year-old Dumbar Kumari Tamang, with a homemade weapon.

Purna Bahadur murdered his wife and fled following a general quarrel on Monday night, and police deputized from Pashupatinagar Ilam police station apprehended him in Suryodaya Municipality-2 Lalikharka.

The police are looking into the matter further.
