KATHMANDU: Purnima Shrestha, a photojournalist, returned in Nepal this morning after successfully climbing Mount K2, the world’s second-highest peak in Pakistan.
Purnima had successfully scaled the 8,611-meter-high K2 peak on Shrawan 11 (July 27).
K2, the most challenging of the 14 peaks, is also known as the killer mountain.
Purnima, who began mountaineering six years ago, has already scaled seven peaks in Nepal above 8000 meters.
Purnima ascended with the Nepalese organization AT K Expeditions.
