Call for applications for Chair of TU Service Commission
The committee formed to recommend the said post has invited interested persons who have worked at least in the post of Associate Professor to submit their application with personal details on this Shrawan 26 (Aug 11).
KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has invited applications for the appointment of the Chairman of the Service Commission in Tribhuvan University, which has been vacant for a year.
The committee formed to recommend the said post has invited interested persons who have worked at least in the post of Associate Professor to submit their application with personal details on this Shrawan 26 (Aug 11).
The work of the Commission on TU Health Services has been affected when the term of the chairman of the commission, Lalu Prasad Yadav, ended on Shrawan 18 2079 (3 August 2022).
Although the notification was published on Bhadra 28, 2079 (3 Sept 2022) and a ‘shortlist’ was prepared for the said post, the process was cancelled and the notification has been published again.
Tenure of the Vice-Chancellor is three months left
Meanwhile, Prime Minister and Chancellor Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has been requested to select a new Vice-Chancellor before the Vice Chancellor of the University becomes vacant. The tenure of the current Vice-Chancellor Dr. Dharmakant Baskota is ending on Kartik 16 (Nov 2).
According to Vice-Chancellor Baskota, on Shrawan 16 (Aug 1), when three months of his tenure were left, he informed the Prime Minister with written information that since it is an organization with a large structure, it will be easier for the new leadership if people are selected with preparation.
