KATHMANDU: The Bhimdatta highway, which was blocked due to landslides caused by the rains, is yet to be reopened.

The highway was closed after roughly 200 meters were washed away by a landslide that occurred Monday night in Buditela, Godawari Municipality-4.

According to the divisional road administration, the situation has arisen since the landslides have not stopped.

Another landslide occurred in the same location on Tuesday night. Hari Subedi, the chief of the road division office, stated that four dozers are being used to remove landslides on both sides.

He said that efforts are being made to operate the one-way road till Wednesday evening. But it is said that there will be some problems if the rain and landslides do not stop.

After the Bhimdatta highway was blocked due to the landslide on Monday night, the road connectivity of 7 hilly districts of the Far West has been cut off.
