France into the quarterfinals with a comfortable win over Morocco

KATHMANDU: France has advanced to the quarterfinals of the FIFA Women’s World Cup, which is currently taking place in Australia and New Zealand.

France advanced to the round of 16 after defeating Morocco 4-0 in the final pre-quarterfinal encounter on Tuesday.

Eugenie Le Sommer scored two goals for France, while Kadidiatou Diani and Kenza Dali each scored one.

France won after scoring three goals in the first half and one more in the second.

France advanced to the last eight after Kadidiatou Diani scored in the 15th and 70th minutes, Kenza Dali in the 20th minute, and Eugenie Le Sommer in the 23rd minute.

With France making it to the quarter-finals, the quarter-finals of the FIFA Women’s World Cup have been completed.

Now in the quarter-finals, there will be matches between Spain and Netherlands, Japan and Sweden, Australia and France and England and Colombia.
