KATHMANDU: Bishwa Prakash Sharma, General Minister of the ruling Nepali Congress, has appealed the main opposition UML not to disturb the parliament meeting.

General Minister Sharma also asked the UML to trust state agencies in the probe of the latest gold scandal during an emergency meeting in the House of Representatives on Tuesday.
He expressed his displeasure saying that the current government is opening corruption files like the gold case, and Lalita Niwas case, but UML is not cooperating in it. He said that according to the law, constitution, rules and regulations, the state agencies have mentioned that the gold case will be investigated, so there is no choice but to go ahead with it. Chief Minister Sharma said that political parties should rise above the sentiments of the ruling party and the opposition when it comes to the issue of corruption and bringing good governance to the country.

Stating that Congress has taken a decision not to spare those involved in corruption under any circumstances, he said that all political parties should work together to support it.
