KATHMANDU: Flooding has occurred in several areas in Kathmandu as a result of the constant rain.

Dhungedhara area, Gaurighat, Guhyeshwari, Kapan, Samakhusi, Anamnagar and other areas of Kathmandu valley were inundated due to heavy rains, said Chief of District Police Complex Kathmandu and Senior Superintendent of Police Dan Bahadur Karki.
Due to the rains, roads, houses and school areas are inundated and people’s lives have been affected.
According to the police, due to heavy rains around Budhanilkantha, Sundarijal, and Nagarkot in Kathmandu Valley, the flow of water in the rivers and streams flowing through the valley has increased.
The water level has increased in Bishnumati, Dhobikhola and Manohara.
The flood has submerged the slums around Rehdon College in Samakhusi, Nilo Pul, and the Mulpani area of Kapan.
When the Bagmati floods, the corridor routes are damaged, as are the settlements surrounding the settlements.
Some homes in Gaurigat, UN Park, Thapathali, Sanepa, and other parts of the capital have also been flooded.
Floods have also impacted scatters communities.
