Expectant mothers provided nutritious food
Mayor Mahesh Prasad Chaudhari has been providing food assistance to pregnant women every month since he was elected to the post.
KATHMANDU: Lahan Municipality of Siraha district has provided food items for nutrition to pregnant women.
A total of 55 expectant mothers from ward no 19 of the municipality were provided the foodstuffs such as rice, pulse, salt, cooking oil, and beans.
Mayor Mahesh Prasad Chaudhari has been providing food assistance to pregnant women every month since he was elected to the post.
He informed that the campaign was continued to help ensure birth of healthy children.
“The expectant mothers need more care than normal time. They need nutritious food and better hygiene. The distribution of food items will help to this end,” he added.
The food assistance had been a relief to the poor family.
Similarly, the pregnant mothers expressed happiness over such assistance at need.
