Women’s FIFA: Germany eliminated

KATHMANDU: Germany, which is considered the main contender to win the title, has been eliminated from the Women’s World Cup 2023 on Thursday.

Two-time champion Germany was held to a 1-1 draw by South Korea.

Germany required a decisive victory in this game.

This is regarded as the most unexpected result in Women’s World Cup history.

This is also the first time Germany has been eliminated in the Women’s World Cup group stage.

Morocco then overcame Colombia 1-0 to get to the round of 16 for the first time.

Despite the defeat, Colombia maintained its lead in the group with six points.

Morocco received the same six points as well.

Germany was only allowed four points. South Korea only earned one point, but their best accomplishment was drawing Germany.
