Sandeep won cash 132,000 on his birthday

KATHMANDU: Sandeep Lamichhane of the Nepali cricket team, who is celebrating his 23rd birthday, was named player of the match in the Global T-20 playoffs in Canada.

Sandeep got three wickets for six runs in four overs to help Surrey Jaguars beat Mississauga Panthers by eight wickets.

Sandeep has won the award four times in the current season. Sandeep won the Player of the Match award for the first time.

Sandeep had previously received the Moment of the Match title in three matches, with reward money of $500.

Sandeep will receive 132,000 Nepalese rupees as the match’s winner.
