Nepal’s team for T20 World Cup qualifiers announced (with list)

KATHMANDU: The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has selected 24 players for the Women’s T20 World Cup Asia selection camp.

CAN has chosen 24 players, including women’s team captain Rubina Chhetri, and has invited them to a training camp on Tuesday.

The World Cup Asia qualifying tournament will be held in Malaysia from Aug 28 to Sept 6.

The Asia selection consists of 12 countries. Nepal is assigned to Group A. Bahrain, Bhutan, Malaysia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates are all members of Group A, along with Nepal.

Group B consists of China, Hong Kong, Kuwait, Myanmar and Thailand.

The top two teams from both groups will advance to the semi-finals, while the two countries that reach the finals will be selected for the World Cup.
