Harila & Sherpa set a new record by climbing 14 mountains in three months

According to the firm, Christine and Tenjen have successfully climbed 14 mountains higher than 8,000 meters in the globe in three months, in addition to that peak.

KATHMANDU: Norwegian climber Kristine Harila and Nepali guide Tenjen (Lama) Sherpa have successfully climbed the world’s second-highest Mount Ketu.

Harila and Sherpa successfully scaled Ketu Himal Broad Peak (8,611 meters) in Pakistan at 10:45 a.m. today, according to Seven Summit Treks Company.

According to the firm, Kristine and Tenjen have successfully climbed 14 mountains higher than 8,000 meters in the globe in three months, in addition to that peak.

Mingma Sherpa, the company’s managing director, stated that they climbed all 14 summits in three months.

Climber Nirmal Purja previously completed six months and six days in 2019.

Harila and Sherpa planned to ascend the peak from 14, which stands at above 8,000 meters, in four months. Harila has already climbed 14 mountains higher than 8,000 meters in one year and five days, becoming the quickest female climber.

Harila and Sherpa have successfully climbed Everest, Kanchenjunga, Lhotse, Makalu, Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Manaslu, Cho Oyu, Shishapangma, Nanga Parbat, Gasherbrum II, Gasharbram I, Broad Peak and Ketu mountains.
