22-year-old girl died while cannoning in Pokhara

POKHARA: A young woman died after falling while cannoning in Pokhara.

Anjita Bhandari, 22, of Pokhara-26 Budhibazar, fell while cannoning at Pokhara Canyon, Machhapuchhre Rural Municipality-9 of Kaski, according to Kaski Deputy Superintendent of Police Shravan Kumar BK.

On Wednesday, the Bhandari, who was hurt during the day’s canonization, was transferred to Pokhara’s Manipal Hospital for treatment. Doctors proclaimed her dead.

The police said that the incident is being investigated.
