Philippines defeats New Zealand 1-0

KATHMANDU: The Philippines stunned the hosts, New Zealand, in the Women’s World Cup. On Tuesday, the Philippines defeated New Zealand 1-0.

Sarina Bolden scored the game-winning goal for the Philippines in the 24th minute.

Coach Allen Stejic remarked after the game that it was the largest triumph in Philippine sports history.
