Defeating India, Pakistan wins ACC Men’s Emerging Asia Cup
Chasing a target of 353 runs set by Pakistan A, India A made 224 runs in 40 overs and was bowled out.

KATHMANDU: Pakistan A won the ACC Men’s Emerging Asia Cup in Sri Lanka, beating India A by a large margin.
Pakistan won the tournament after defeating India by a score of 128 runs at the R. Premadasa Cricket Stadium in Colombo, Sri Lanka’s capital.
Chasing a target of 353 runs set by Pakistan A, India A made 224 runs in 40 overs and was bowled out.
For India A, opener Abhishek Sharma made 61 runs in 51 balls with 5 fours and 1 six, but the team was unable to win.
Riyan Parag scored 14 runs and captain Yash Dhull scored 39 runs off 41 balls. Sai Sudarshan, the opener, scored 29 runs on 28 balls.
Sofian Mukim got three wickets for Pakistan A, while Mohammad Wasim Jr., Mehran Mumtaz, and Arshad Iqbal each took two.
Prior to it, Pakistan A scored 352 runs after losing 8 wickets in the planned 50 overs after losing the toss and batting first.
Tayyab Tahir played a century innings for Pakistan A, scoring 108 runs in 71 balls with 12 fours and four sixes. Tahir batted 66 balls to achieve his fourth century in List A.
Pakistan A lost their first wicket for 121 runs.
Both of Pakistan A openers batted for half-centuries. Saib Ayyab scored 59 runs off 51 balls, while Sehbaz Farham scored 65 runs off 62 balls.
Mubasir Khan scored 35 runs off 47 balls, including two fours and two sixes. Amir Yousaf was caught stealing after scoring 35 runs on 35 balls.
Riyan Parag and Rajvardhan Hangargekar each grabbed 2/2 wickets for India A, while Harshit Rana, Manav Suthar, and Nishant Sindhu each took 1/1 wicket.
Pakistan won the World Cup for the second time in a row. Pakistan has already won the previous tournament in 2019.
Nepal was eliminated from the tournament’s group stage while competing.
