Complaints of pilgrims returning from Mecca Medina – not treated well
This year, 1,200 Nepalese pilgrims travelled to Mecca for Hajj.

KATHMANDU: Pilgrims from Nepal who performed Hajj at Mecca Medina Sharif in Saudi Arabia have returned home. On Wednesday morning, they returned to the country via Tribhuvan International Airport.
This year, 1,200 Nepalese pilgrims travelled to Mecca for Hajj. After finishing the journey to Mecca and Medina, they all returned home. Pilgrims who came home grumbled about their treatment during the Hajj journey.
They reported that the members of the Hajj Committee who had returned from Nepal had not treated the Hajj pilgrims properly and had not provided them with the clean food and lodging that they had paid for.
Pilgrim Raja Ahmad Ansari said that he was denied payment facilities and was served disgusting meals at a filthy motel.
He said that even after the pilgrims from Nepal went missing, no one went looking for the Hajj representatives from Nepal. He requested that the Hajj Committee be formed with persons of good character rather than party members.
He requested that the delegates of the Hajj Committee, who represented Nepal in the Hajj pilgrimage, apologize for defaming Nepal and that all perpetrators be held accountable.
