Sabitra’s goal equalized Nepal

KATHMANDU: Nepal tied the first friendly encounter with Bangladesh thanks to Sabitra Bhandari’s injury-time goal.

Nepal played a 1-1 draw with Bangladesh in the first friendly match in Bangladesh on Thursday.

Sabina Khatun scored a goal in the 65th minute to give Bangladesh the lead. Sabitra Bhandari rescued Nepal, which was on the verge of defeat.

She scored a goal in injury time to tie the game for Nepal.

Nepal, which is preparing for Asia, has gone abroad for a friendly football match with Bangladesh.

Nepal will play in the second friendly match on Sunday.
