Farewell to the Nepali cricket team playing the Emerging Cup
On Monday, Youth and Sports Minister Dig Bahadur Limbu, CAN Chair Chatur Bahadur Chand, and other authorities waved farewell to the Nepali national cricket team from Kathmandu.
KATHMANDU: The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has said farewell to the national squad that will travel to Sri Lanka to compete in the ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2023.
On Monday, Youth and Sports Minister Dig Bahadur Limbu, CAN Chair Chatur Bahadur Chand, and other authorities waved farewell to the Nepali national cricket team from Kathmandu.
The squad only recently came home after concluding the World Cup qualifiers.
Nepal has named all-rounder Pawan Sarraf in lieu of Arif Sheikh. Similarly, Rohit Paudel, Aasif Sheikh, Arjun Saud, Kushal Bhurtel, Kushal Malla, Pawan Sharraf, Dev Khanal, Gulsan Jha, and Sompal Kami are on the team.
Likewise, Bhim Sarki, Shyam Dhakal, Pratis JC, Lalit Rajbanshi, Kishore Mahato, Sandeep Zora, Surya Tamang.
Sandeep Lamichhane and Dipendra Singh Airee have been left out of the national team because they must compete in the Global T20 in Canada.
Nepal will face India A, Pakistan A, and the UAE in the opening round of the event, which runs from July 13 to July 23.
