KATHMANDU: On Sunday, several Nepali artists and others paid tribute to the late rock vocalist of Nepal’s music business, Robin Tamang, at the Nepal Academy of Music and Drama, Naxal.
Family, relatives, acquaintances, and well-wishers have paid their final respects to singer and artist Robin Tamang.
Rekha Sharma, Minister of Communication and Information Technology, and Sudan Kirati, Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, paid their tributes and draped the national flag over the corpse of singer Tamang.
Nepali Congress General Minister Gagan Thapa and artists were present at the last tribute. Singer Tamang passed away last Tuesday. He was found dead in his residence at Budanilkanth.
Shortly, after the tribute Tamang’s remains will be carried to Shobha Bhagwati in Bijeshwari for last rites.
Robin passed away on Tuesday. He was discovered dead at his Budhanilkantha house.
He was most recently seen in the film ‘Chhadke-2’. In addition to Chhadke, he has appeared in Mukhauta, Jai Parasuram, and Chiso Ashtray.
‘Chiso Chiso Hawama,’ ‘Jati Maya Laye Pani,’ and ‘Bhulma Bhuliyo’ are popular songs.
Robin has also appeared as a judge on the reality show Roadies.
