KATHMANDU: Robin Tamang, a well-known rock singer in the Nepali music industry, has died.
Tamang died on Tuesday at the age of 60 at his house in Budhanilkantha, according to his elder sister Bhagwati Tamang.

According to Dipendra Chand, a police officer with the Budhanilkantha police division, the police received a call on Tuesday evening reporting that singer Tamang did not answer the phone.
When the police squad reached to Tamang’s residence, he was discovered dead on the side of the bed, according to Chand.
According to police, the cause of death will not be known until the autopsy is completed.
Tamang, the lead vocalist of Robin and the Revolution Band has also acted in films. Tamang, who recently appeared in the film ‘Chhadke-2,’ has made substantial contributions to the evolution of Nepali rock-style music.
Nepali musicians have taken to social media to express their sadness at his passing.
Among the popular songs of Tamang are ‘Nepal’, ‘Ekata’, ‘Chiso Chiso Hawama’, ‘Maila Bhai’, ‘Jati Maya Laye Pani’, ‘Dam Maro Dam’ and ‘Bhul Ma Bhulyo’.
