Itahari accident: Mother & daughter died in tipper hit
Following the death of a woman in a tipper hit, the situation has turned heated.
KATHMANDU: A woman and her daughter were killed in an accident at Itahari’s main square.
A woman and daughter riding a scooter perished today (Tuesday) at about 3:20 p.m. after being hit by a tipper (Na 1 K 9107) in Itahari’s main square.
According to the Itahari local police office, among those killed were Sarita Chaudhary of Itahari-8 and her daughter Anshu Chaudhary.
According to authorities, Sarita died on the scene as a result of the tipper crash, while Anshu died while receiving treatment.
Following the death in the accident, locals caused lengthy traffic congestion at Itahari Chowk. The scenario turned heated as a result of the traffic gridlock.
According to locals, the tipper driver allegedly attempted to kill the two individuals by reversing the vehicle.
The incident is still being investigated further, according to Itahari police.
