Gulsan Jha scored 57 runs in 42 balls for Nepal, including four fours and three sixes. Arjun Saud scored 48 runs off 84 balls, hitting three fours and two sixes. Kushal Malla scored 44 runs off 38 balls, including 5 fours and 2 sixes.
Sandeep Lamichhane scored 32 runs in 30 balls, hitting three fours and one six. Bhim Sarki scored 20 runs and captain Rohit Paudel scored 29 runs off 35 balls.
Mark Adair, Barry McCarthy, and Craig Young each got 2/2 for Ireland, while Andrew McBurney, Kurtis Kaempfer, and Gareth Delany each took 1/1.
This will be Nepal’s first opportunity to play an ODI against Ireland. Nepal will play ODIs in Ireland, the third Test-recognized country.
Nepal defeated UAE in the second semi-final match for seventh place on Sunday and secured a meeting with Ireland.
Nepal is aiming to defeat Ireland in the first ODI match itself.
