For Nepal, Naren Bhatta scored an undefeated century of 112 runs. Naren struck 10 fours and two sixes to score 112 runs off 89 balls. Neeraj Kumar Yadav hit 47 runs, Santosh Yadav hit 26 runs, Suryanshu Koirala hit 18 runs, and Ashok Dhami hit 11 runs.
Malaysian bowler Mohammad Akram grabbed three wickets, while Haziq Haiqal, Areean Aqeel, and Muhammad Fathul Muin each took one. Malaysia is now batting in response.
Nepal hopes to defeat Malaysia and win the championship for the third time in a row. To reach the finals, Nepal defeated Singapore by 97 runs in the semi-finals, and Malaysia defeated Hong Kong by 78 runs.
