KATHMANDU: Nepal has set Singapore a 185-run target in the semi-finals of the ACC Men’s U-16 East Zone Cup cricket.

After winning the toss, Nepal batted first and scored 184 runs for the cost of nine wickets in 35 overs, setting the target for Singapore.

Suryashu Koirala scored 43 runs for Nepal, while Niraj Kumar Yadav scored 42 runs. Abishek Tiwari, the captain, scored 25 runs, while Santosh Yadav scored 18.

Singapore’s Hariharan grabbed three wickets, Kavibar Beliya and Harsh Venkatram each got two, and Pranav Dhanuka took one.

As the victor of Group A, Nepal advanced to the semi-finals, while Singapore finished second in Group B. This match’s winner will progress to the finals. Hong Kong will face Malaysia in the next semi-final match. The last game will take place on Tuesday. If Nepal fails to advance from the semi-finals, it will fight for third place on Tuesday.
