For Nepalese farmers, Asar 15 (June 30) is a highly important day. Today is celebrated as the day when our forefathers converted the hard labour of planting into joy and gladness by eating curds. Today is also significant culturally and historically.
As our country is an agricultural country, this day provides energy to farmers.
People who are oriented toward the city but yet live in the village are tied to farmers and farming, if only for a brief time.
The play ‘Tubel’ depicts the farmer’s delight, sadness, and soil. According to the producer, the stories of those farmers who sweated for the same bitten rice & curd we eat today, always consuming one cup of rice, are waiting for the audience in the theatre.
Roshan Subedi created and directed the play ‘Tubel’. The drama ‘Tubel,’ which begins today, will run through the Shatawan 15 (July 31) at Purano Ghar Theater in Sinamangal.
