Prliament passes budget for upcoming fiscal year
It was the first time that Parliament voted to approve the budget.
KATHMANDU: The House of Representatives has enacted Appropriation Bill 2080 for the next fiscal year.
It was the first time that Parliament voted to approve the budget. When the vote was divided, there were 147 votes in favour and 108 votes against.
The number remaining in the Parliament was 255.
Appropriation Bill 2080 for the fiscal year 2080/81, which was announced on Jestha 15 (May 29), was passed following discussion.
