KATHMANDU: English Premier League champions Manchester City have signed midfielder Mateo Kovacic.

City signed Croatian midfielder Kovacic from Chelsea.

City brought Kovacic to the club for 25 million pounds.

The 29-year-old midfielder has agreed to terms with City on a four-year deal.

Kovacic will wear the number 8 jersey at City.

City signed Kovacic as their first player this summer after winning the treble last season.

In 2018, Kovacic joined Chelsea from Real Madrid.

He appeared in 37 appearances for Chelsea last season.
