Netherlands defeated West Indies in Super Over

KATHMANDU: The Netherlands defeated the West Indies in an ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier Super Over game.
The Netherlands set a target of 31 runs, however, West Indies only managed to score 8 runs after losing two wickets. West Indies’ Johnson Charles scored 7 runs. Van Beek took two of the Netherlands’ wickets.
Van Beek led the Netherlands in scoring with 30 runs. The match between the Netherlands and the West Indies had previously been tied. Chasing the West Indies’ 375 runs, the Netherlands needed a run in the penultimate ball, and Logan van Beek was out. The game was then pushed to super over.
With this win, the Netherlands became the runner-up in the group. From group ‘A’, Zimbabwe, West Indies and Netherlands have reached the Super Six, while Nepal and America have been eliminated. Sri Lanka, Scotland and Oman have reached the Super Six from Group B’.
Test-playing country Ireland has been eliminated from the race of Super Six after losing its first three matches, while UAE has already lost three matches and was eliminated from reaching the Super Six.
